Our Staff
Leadership You Can Count On!
Camp Wamp offers a staff of committed professionals who are all devoted to the Camp Wamp mission. Some of the staff have children who have been campers and counselors in training for years, and therefore bring an added family touch to our approach to camping.

Our camper/counselor ratio is 1:1! We know that campers love spending their time at camp with staff who are fun, kind, energetic, experienced, and who love camp! Our counselors are college-age positive role models. They are wholesome, responsible and sensitive to the needs of the children in their care.
When this facility was purchased, our goal was to develop a strong Counselor-In-Training Program and Junior Counselor Program to encourage our own campers to return to be on our staff once they aged out of camp. It is amazing how “strong” these Wampers make camp, and as they include new counselors each summer their knowledge of the camp community and program offers a comfortable transition to any new counselors who join our staff. Watching former campers transition into staff is a true gift that we give back to our campers! Our hope is that your camper will want to return someday to continue spending their summers here during their college years. Our staff includes an amazing leadership team who will mentor and help manage our counselors and assist with camp programs. Our orientation is thorough, as staff learns both individual camper and activity responsibilities. Camp Wamp counselors are truly a select group of collegiate leaders that create an amazing staff.

Camp Wamp is the hardest job you'll ever love.

As Owners, Directors and Staff, our goal is to provide a safe, wholesome camping experience for individuals living with physical disabilities. We hope that each year campers will say, “I had more fun this year than last. May I go back, please?”
