Counselors-In-Training (CITs)
Camp Wamp's Future Leaders

Camp Wamp's Counselors-in-Training (CITs) are teens who are ready to get more than the "camper" experience , it is designed to offer qualified young people an opportunity to prepare for positions as camp counselors or recreation leaders. The CIT program is founded on Camp Wamp's core values: adventure, optimism, self-reliance, and ambition. Added to these core values is a focus on leadership, service, and responsibility. CITs are ready to take initiative, work directly with younger campers, learn from staff, and be part of an awesome team! The CIT program provides teens with more than just the skills to be an awesome camp counselor, it teaches them skills that are applicable throughout their entire life. CITs will complete the program with increased self-confidence, a toolbox of leadership skills, service, programmatic skills, and an increased awareness of their impact on the world around them.
